It's been a week since we held our centennial last week.
I haven't had the foggiest clue of how to even to start to write about it, so I'll just do it as I usually do best... chronologically.

It's been how long? [45/70]
Seriously the 9th is the last time I wrote an actual article on this blog for myself (and not a reshare of my AiC stuff, or a recap of the vacation)??
Let's remedy that shall we?

Couple of parades down and sleeping in my old bed [28/44]
Another week is in the books, and the first week of piping for grads is done. The full uni still fits.. yay. There's just no killing this outfit... no matter how hard I try.
After the Thursday gig we got to do something we haven't done in a while - take a full band photo. Jarron had a great idea this time in doing a photo recreation. In 1967 the band had some "Canada Centennial" photos done up and the 'famous' one was done at Hillcrest Park. So he set up to recreate the photo. A nice touch for our centennial now.

band commitments [10/15]
Another Thursday night, and another fun filled band practice.
I get a little scared at how well we'll sound for the centennial... or am I just being cynical?
It's not that many practices away and we have some engagements that will remove us from regular Thursday nights... I worry.
Or do I expect too much?
And then today, an opportunity comes up that I immediately want to pounce all over, but then my PC side tells me to hold up... but in waiting it may be an opportunity lost.
But in pursuing it... will it be a motivator or a demotivator?
Also, do I have the time?
oh peanut butter sandwiches

Was this the last week? [108/145]
So as the temperature starts to drop I've been asking the question a lot about when I'll be done with the biking thing.
Temperature wasn't so much the deciding factor as I've been starting to bundle up more and more. That wasn't too bad. However, on Tuesday there was a fair bit of almost frozen dew on the ground. That made it a bit slippery... Was a little dangerous.
Then I ended up driving for the next few days. During those days it has snowed and is continuing to snow. It's made me question whether I would be able to bike again next week... Or was this it? That makes me sad.

Oh, and btw - got voted in again as pipe major. By acclaim... but still nice to be nominated I guess... I can't tell you how jazzed up I am about the upcoming centennial.
What gets me is that I almost want to bike on purpose... not just because, 'cmon, let's keep going. But, at a meeting the other day and it quickly degenerated into a 'we all hate bike lanes' bitch session. Such a negative group of people. Like I said before -- some people just need to be high 5'd... in the face... with a chair. So out of spite, I'd like to just keep going.

Have I mentioned that the band calendars are now out? Only $15

| so, not only is the ground got slippery snow on it, but it's hiding the lanes... double danger |

A definite must have. Excellent work Eilidh and Jarron.
