December 1 - Ford has aides

In 1988 today was the first observance of World AIDS Day.

Scary when you think about how bad it was, and it's still around.

Aid also has other meaning, which South Park poked at in an episodes about how Jarrett has 'aides'.

The idea of something helping out each other is probably what inspired Ford to develop the moving assembly line - the first of its kind was developed for the Ford Model T on this day in 1913.

October 1st - new show on CTV - people in cars drinking coffee

A new month... wow this year is zipping by.

It was this day in 1908 that Henry Ford introduced the Model T, and it would have cost you a whopping $825 to own one.

Ushering in a new era of factory assembly line modelling, building something the workers could afford and then transforming urban landscapes for roads etc...

Going to do all that, you'll need some energy and coffee is the most popular drink out there, and today is International Coffee Day!

How do you like your beans?

When it's time to settle down and relax after some driving around, why not watch some TV.  It was today in 1961 that CTV was launched in Canada.

July 30 - Friends, Ford & the Terminator

 It's International Friendship Day.

What friends are you honouring today?  Friends mean a lot.

I wonder if Henry Ford and Arnold Schwarzenegger would have been friends... they share the same birthday.  Just a few years apart.  Ford in 1863, and Arnie in 1947.
