September 24 - Troy McClure wasn't a muppet, but I'm sure he could have been

Growing as a kid of the 80s ... wait, didn't I just do that yesterday?  Well, it's a trope that works...

...growing up as a kind in the 80s there are 2 shows I vividly remember, The Muppets and The Simpsons.  2 famous voices from those 2 shows have actors celbrating birthdays.  Unfortunately, both of them are no longer with us.

Jim Hensen would have been 85 today.  His vision of programming and muppets and just use of his range of voice acting really captivated a lot of people.  Not just for the Muppets or Sesame Street, but he did a lot of movies like The Dark Crystal and Labrynth.

Happy Birthday Jim.

Another awesome voice actor and actor was Phil Hartman.  The list of shows he was in (and was awesome in) is so lengthy.  For me, his standout performance was Bill McNeal on NewsRadio, just amazing work.  Oh, and can't forget his Frankenstein on SNL.

Phil would have been 73 today.  Happy Birthday Phil.

Part of being a good voice actor is understanding inflections and punctuation... well it's National Punctuation Day in the US.
